What Concerns Does It Treat

Polynucleotide injections stimulate the production of collagen and elastin in the skin to help repair, hydrate, and rejuvenate the skin, reducing fine lines, improving firmness, and helping damaged areas heal faster. They are also known to improve overall circulation in the treated area along with hydration levels in the skin and can also reduce inflammation due to the anti-inflammatory properties they contain.

What to Expect

  • Consultation with your doctor, followed by cleansing of the skin

  • Polynucleotides are injected into targeted areas using a fine needle or a cannula

  • The treatment is quick, typically 15 to 30 minutes and patients should expect to do a course of treatments

  • Mild redness or swelling can occur and usually settles within 24 to 48 hours

  • Common treatment areas include the face, under-eye area, and neck

Discomfort Level

Polynucleotides are injected into the skin in specific areas. Clients usually describe the sensation as a quick sting or mild burning at each injection site. Any discomfort is very brief, as there are only a few injection points.

Recommended Treatment Plan

A standard polynucleotide treatment plan involves 3 to 4 sessions, spaced 2 to 4 weeks apart.
