Emsella
Emsella is a unique technology that strengthens pelvic floor muscles and revolutionizes intimate health and wellness by providing those suffering from incontinence with a completely non-invasive treatment option. and has been successful in greatly improving quality of life as a result. A single EMSELLA session induces thousands of supramaximal pelvic floor muscle contractions, which are extremely important in muscle re-education of incontinent patients.
What concerns does Emsella treat
Emsella is a non-invasive treatment that uses high-intensity electromagnetic energy to strengthen pelvic floor muscles, helping with urinary incontinence (stress incontinence and over active bladder) and pelvic weakness resulting from injury, post – surgery, childbirth or menopause.
What to Expect
- Sit fully clothed on the treatment chair for about 30 minutes
- The device delivers HIFEM (high-intensity focused electromagnetic) energy
- This creates thousands of painless, powerful pelvic floor contractions
- Many describe it as a stronger version of Kegel exercises that you can’t achieve voluntarily
- Wear comfortable clothing (loose-fitting trousers or leggings)
- Use the time to read or relax during the session
Discomfort level
Emsella is generally well-tolerated: Most patients describe the treatment as strange but not painful, feeling like strong vibrations in the pelvic floor with some tingling or tapping in the groin and lower abdomen.
Recommended treatment plan
Treatment plans may vary depending on patient needs but generally we recommend a course of six with 2 sessions per week over a period of three weeks. Many patients will have a maintenance session every 6 to 12 months to maintain results.
Most patients will start to see a result after the second or third session.
