What is involved?

We ask that all of our patients arrive at the clinic 30-60 minutes before the treatment for numbing cream application to the areas being treated. As with any ultrasound treatment, there can be an amount of discomfort, which we will manage with each patient throughout the treatment.

Once in the treatment room, ultrasound gel is applied to clean skin. Depending on the areas being treated, you may expect the treatment to last anywhere from 30-45 minutes. There is no downtime following this session, and clients can return to their typical day-to-day activities immediately, applying makeup if necessary. Some clients are a little pink leaving, and often skin feels tighter directly post-Sofwave™ treatment. Results can expect to be seen anything between 3 and 12 months later.

Am I A Candidate?

Anyone in good health can have Sofwave™, particularly those looking for non-invasive skin tightening to lift heavy eyelids, sagging submental tissue, fine lines and wrinkles.

It is the perfect complementary treatment to injectables to improve problem areas and suits all skin types. Ultrasound technology can be used for those in their 20-30s as a preventative measure for signs of ageing, with most clients opting for Sofwave in their 40s and beyond.

For patients who prefer a one-off treatment, as opposed to weekly sessions of skin tightening, this is ideal, with many needing their subsequent maintenance treatment 18-24 months after their first.

Skin tone and sun exposure do not affect Sofwave; however, it is contraindicated for pregnancy and breastfeeding.
