Discomfort Level
babyGLOW is injected just under the skin. Patients usually describe the sensation as a quick sting or mild burning at each injection site. Any discomfort is very brief, as there are only a few injection points per side of the face.
Recommend Treatment Plan
For optimal results, babyGLOW by Teoxane is done as a course of 2 or 3 sessions, spaced a few weeks apart. This allows us to build hydration levels in the skin and stimulate longer-term collagen production, giving a more sustained and natural result.
BabyGLOW can also be carried out as a one-off glow treatment, this is an excellent treatment for patients looking for a wow effect before an event such as a wedding, party, holiday, photoshoots etc. This is generally recommended 9 days before an event.
Contraindications
- Pregnancy or breastfeeding
- Allergy or hypersensitivity to hyaluronic acid or lidocaine (if used)
- Active skin infection at the injection site (e.g., cold sores, acne flare, rash, infections)
- A history of true keloid scarring
- Active inflammatory skin conditions (psoriasis, eczema) in the treatment area
- Uncontrolled chronic illnesses
If you are feeling generally unwell, we recommend postponing treatment.
