pelleve wrinkle reduction

Pelleve

PellevéTM is an FDA-cleared skin tightening anti-wrinkle procedure to safely and effectively treat facial wrinkles without surgery.

Using advanced radio wave (radio frequency) technology, the Pellevé system precisely heats the deep layers of the skin without damaging the epidermis, or top layer.

The heat causes the collagen in the skin to contract and tighten. After the Pelleve skin tightening treatment, the skin begins to produce new collagen, which improves skin firmness. The result is a naturally refreshed appearance.

Unlike other skin tightening systems, Pelleve doesn’t require anesthesia or skin cooling, so patients can return to home or work immediately after the procedure. Many people begin to see results after just one Pelleve treatment, with lasting improvement in skin tightness and tone for up to six months.

As we age, wrinkles become prominent in our face. As much we want to block them from lining, we can’t stop time to pass. But, there is an innovation out in the beauty industry, and it is known as Pellevé. Don’t raise your eyebrow because whatever pronunciation you have for this word, it will never change the fact that this is an effective treatment in skin tightening and anti-wrinkle.

Four reasons why many people love Pellevé

  • Without surgery
  • No need for anesthesia
  • No skin cooling
  • Patients can return home right away after the treatment

The technology behind Pellevé uses radio wave or frequency to heat the final layer of the skin without damaging any part of the epidermis. The high temperature makes the collagen to tighten and contract. This treatment improves skin steadfastness and gives a fresh-looking face.  The results are visible after one treatment with a lasting effectiveness.

Mr. Golchin says about this skin tightening treatment:

As a practising facial Plastic Surgeon, I am often presented with new non-surgical treatments all claiming to tighten skin and promote new collagen formation.  I rarely get excited about them as more often than not they fail to deliver.”

“However I am very excited about Pelleve skin tightening treatment, it is simple, safe and with no to minimal downtime, it achieves the desired result. I feel it fills a gap that has existed for a long time between non-invasive and invasive cosmetic procedures.”

How Pelleve works at the cellular level

Pelleve precisely targets the subdermal junction

Radiofrequency surgical equipment emits energy in the form of electromagnetic waves, which are absorbed by the surrounding tissue, creating a heated treatment zone.

  • Increased resistance causes heat buildup at the subdermal junction
  • Heat induces collagen denaturization, followed by collagen contraction
  • Collagen breaks down
  • Protein stimulation causes new collagen formation and production in the dermis
  • Existing bands of collagen tighten in subcutaneous fat
  • Remodeling of collagen occurs in the dermis and subcutaneous fat, creating a superficial tightening of the epidermis

FAQ’s

Pelleve is indicated for the non-ablative treatment of mild to moderate facial wrinkles for skin phototypes I-IV. Possible side effects of Pelleve are usually treatment-site related and include mild discomfort during the procedure localized within the treatment area. Mild swelling and redness may occur which typically go away within 2 to 24 hours.

How does Pellevé work?

Pellevé delivers constant, gradual energy to the skin, causing heat to build up where the skin and fat layer come together. The increasing heat modifies the collagen bundles deep inside the skin, causing them to contract and stimulating the growth of new collagen over time. This results in firmer, tighter skin.

How long does the Pellevé Skin tightening procedure take?

A full facial skin tightening treatment typically takes about 45 minutes to an hour. Because no anesthesia is used and any swelling is minor, there is no downtime.

What should I expect during the Pellevé procedure?

First, a protective gel is applied to the face. Patients say they feel a deep warming sensation when the doctor touches the area being treated with the Pellevé handpiece. No anesthetic is used, so you will act as a guide to describe the depth of the sensation as the doctor moves the handpiece across your face.

What about after the procedure?

Mild swelling and redness may occur, but studies have shown that this usually goes away within a few hours to a day.

How long does it take to see results?

Many people see the result immediately after just one treatment, with lasting improvement for up to six months as the skin produces new collagen. Additional treatments may improve results, so you should consult with your doctor for a recommended number of treatments.
